THE GATHERING!!

 

This is a monthly GAME NIGHT WITH A TWIST.  It is a peer-led community based conversation series hosted by THE BLACK CAVE and MONTGOMERY PRIDE UNITED.  It is a FUN and SAFE environment that allows ALL community members the opportunity to engage with other community members utilizing different types of games.

 

Like traditional game nights at home or with friends, gaming DOES NOT start immediately.  There is usually a period of talking or catching up.  Enters the TWIST!!!  In that first 30 minutes, we divulge a TOPIC WORD to the community members and simply ask their opinion on it.  

 

Our goal is that the organically flowing discussions will help expand awareness, lessening stigma, and shame surrounding the TOPIC WORD in the minds of the community members that participate.

 

Then the GAME NIGHT WITH A TWIST begins!!
